One-week checkup, family resemblance

P went in for his one-week check up today. He's doing fine - gained about a pound, though he's got a rash around his neck because it's so hot in the room.

Korean custom is to keep the baby and mother in a warm place, but apparently it’s been a bit too warm. SY has turned down the thermostat a bit and apply baby powder to his neck.

People say he's really handsome, which is nice, but they often compare him with Daniel Henney, a Eurasian actor who's big in Korea these days (and will star in the 2009 X-Men movie about Wolverine). I don't like that guy.

Part of the reason I don't like him is that SY does. In fact, she mentioned naming our kid Daniel at one point, which made my lip curl.

Apart from his eyes, which of course are darker than mine, I think he looks like *me,* not some handsome, famous, talented loser like Daniel Henney. Feh!
