The convoy live fire exercise was kind of like a roller coaster ride that you get graded on -- yeah, it's fun, but it'd be better without someone looking over your shoulder. All in all, it was pretty silly -- to controlled to be worth it, especially since no one does this sort of thing in theater anyway.
From ten to one o'clock I did guard duty, which was just standing around, looking busy. For lunch I had a chicken quarter, bread, rice w/gravy, lettuce, pasta salad, cake!, and an apple, but apart from the cake, nothing exciting.
I then waited around for two hours and tried to keep a low profile before we came back on the deuce in groups of 18. We did a heat dump (cold shower to reduce core temperature), remade out beds (Thursday), and went to chow.
For dinner we had chili mac (good), rice, roll, broccoli, corn, 1 apple wedge, and pasta salad. I got my choco du jour, too -- yay! Got a letter from SY, too, which made a decent day into a great one. Got to bed by 8:00, but most stayed up by flashlight beyond that.
