A hot, hot month

Texas is a hot place. No surprise -- every time I spend more than five minutes walking around the motor pool, sweat trickles from every pore on my back.

But this article from today's Austin American-Statesman shows just how nasty it's been. Twenty-seven out of July's 31 days reached 100 degrees or higher, with six days breaking records.

And now it's August.

Boy, I can't wait to see how this one will be.
