Five 4-days and two 3-days

In October and November I've had a mix of light and heavy weeks. One one hand, five out of the nine weeks have been four-day work weeks (because of Columbus Day, its associated training holiday, my four-day pass for the trip to visit my family, and the four-day weekend we got for our 100% participation rate in the Combined Federal Campaign). The three day work weeks came as a result of Thanksgiving and Veteran's Day.

On the other hand, it's been busy because of some other events. My unit got tasked with running some firing ranges, so I had to brief the battalion commander (my "grand-boss") on the plan for the one I'm in charge of. That was a bit nerve-wracking because -- of course -- the slide layout and content requirements were constantly changing all the way up to the night before.

Then a "gunnery range" popped up, sucking up all the rest of our resources. I don't really understand what this entails, but it looks like everyone that's not involved with the ranges will be out delivering containers and fuel to the training area. We'll probably have to work on Veteran's Day.

Thumbs down. :-(
