Note the trends in this list -- 14 positions as Observer Controller-Trainers to train up reserve units, 5 ROTC professors, 4 recruiting company commanders, 2 WTU company commanders, 2 MEPS (initial entry processing center) staff positions, and 9 overseas positions.

For me, there are no far and away, clear favorites on this list. Granted, I would love to be stationed in Japan, but I've just spent three years in Korea. Do I really want to spend another three years overseas? And while I'd like learning about "big logistics" at the Rock Island Arsenal, do I really want to waste any more time before applying for FAO?

And while everyone loves the idea of going to Germany, do I really want to spend time in Europe when my goal is to concentrate on East Asia? I think, in the end, I'm almost grateful that it's not up to me to decide. Just like my moves to Texas and Korea, it seems that things worked have out for the best without my intervention.
