Recovering Native Alaskan families

In the mid-20th Century, a number of Native American children were forced to live in boarding schools apart from their families. According to this 2013 article, at time handcuffs such as these were used.[Source] The experience created multi-generational trauma, but fortunately, this is not irreversible.
