Cereal consumption protocol

I'm a firm believer in the "first-in, first out" inventory method for breakfast cereals.

This puts me at odds with my children, who are always excited about whatever new cereal I get, even if it's just Frosted Mini-Wheats.

Let's be clear about something. I am 43 years-old now. The #1 reason I buy Frosted Mini-Wheats -- without giving TMI -- is for the FIBER. (You with me?) The #2 reason, I'll admit, is the sugar. I remember how bland my dad's Original Shredded Wheat was when I was growing up.

(Does anyone remember these?)

So here's how this plays out:
I get a box of cereal for me.
Kids eat the new cereal.
Old cereal sits there until I eat it.
Someone blows an O-ring.

Now I know why my forefathers ate that bland-*** Original Shredded Wheat. "It's the #1 Source of Fiber for Men who Don't Want Their Kids to Eat Their Food."
