COVID Memorial Day

My father works at a veterans home in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Although some veterans homes in New Jersey's northern counties have been hard-hit by COVID-19 (such as the one in Paramus), the one he works at hasn't been affected much -- only one death directly attributed to the coronavirus pandemic.

While I recognize Veterans Day is supposed to be the holiday for those who pass away /after/ their service, I identify nonetheless with those who've lost loved ones, but can't properly mourn them. [Link]
