Tokyo day-trip

I hand July 5th off for Independence Day, so the family took the train up to Tokyo today. First, we got lobster rolls at a place called "Luke's Lobster," near Harajuku (原宿). We got three sets, which came out to about $65.

Instead of walking back to Harajuku, we went toward Shibuya (渋谷), and saw a Hawaii food truck. I wish I'd seen this first.
From Shibuya we went to Kudanshita station (九段下), and walked from there to the Imperial Palace grounds, which has the Science Museum (科学博物館).

I rested while everyone else walked through the science museum, and then we walked back up to Kudanshita station. From there to we went to Mitsukoshi-mae (三越前), and had dinner at a tenpura donburi restaurant called Kaneko hannosuke (金子半之助). Fortunately (given lunch was pretty expensive) this was only about $20.

All in all, it was a tiring day, with a lot of walking and standing. Luke's Lobster didn't have a seating area -- it was kind of a standing area -- so that didn't exactly help. And at the end of the day, on our way back, we had to stand on the train ride home because it was rush hour. Good that we made the most of my day off, but not something to do every weekend.
