COVID scare

I spent this past week on a business trip up in Yokota Air Base. Unfortunately, two people in our group of about 20 contracted COVID19, including the guy I sat next to.

Because of close contact, I had to get brain-brushed on Friday (nasopharyngeal test). The results came back negative after a few hours, and I was back to work today. Everything's fine, but it was pretty scary -- waiting there wondering if I had already been infected, and thinking about what might happen if I had been.

In retrospect, I can only say three things:
  1. Praise God.
  2. It's good to have mask mandates, even among the vaccinated.
  3. Washing hands and professional distance are good ideas.
