Remembering

My grandfather was 41 when he was last assigned to West Germany. This is the photo from his 1968 driver's license. He would probably get a kick from me working here now. He'd probably talk about his experience in Berlin twenty years prior, and how Wiesbaden was the place that the Airlift planes took off from.

And I'd tell him that there's a display in the post office here that remembers that.

He's been gone five years and two weeks now; he would have been 95 years old today.
