"American" food

This grocery store's perception of "international food" bothers me. They have Turkish, Eastern Europe, Mediterranean, and American sections.

The other sections are fine, but what does the American section have? Nothing but chips and candy.
I'm not sure what I should be more upset about -- their perception, or the fact I can't think of what I'd replace it with besides barbeque sauce.
