Smoking in Germany

Germans smoke a lot -- in 2016, about 60% more per capita than Americans. [Source] What bothers me is when they do it at bus stops, and this is the difference between German and American ways of thinking.

The American way of thinking is "I have a right not to be bothered by your cigarette smoke." The German way of thinking is, "What's the problem?" I've been sitting on the benches and had people light up right next to me.
