Langkorn-reis

There's a lot of history hidden in this vocabulary. Lang is German for long, and is related to the "Lang-" in Langley.
Korn is the German word for grain, and is why we Americans call the grain found in the New World "corn."

And of course Reis is rice. Langkorn-Reis >> long grain rice.
