It may sound crazy, but one of the things I like about Korea over Hawaii is the way it rains. Once it gets going, it takes a while to stop, giving me lots of time to enjoy it.
I think I enjoy listening to rain because of the pleasant background sound. At home, I always feel more comfortable if there's a low, steady noise, so usually I just turn on the TV and listen to it drone. Now that it's June, there's nothing like a relaxingly cool summer rain shower.
Plus, my apartment has large windows -- all the better to hear it with....
