According to the terms of my contract, my
hagwon is supposed to pay for my ticket back to the U.S. after my year is finished. However, because the Army will flying me to basic training, I won’t really need it.
So instead of getting a ticket I won't be able to use, I’ve asked the school for the value of the plane ticket in cash, and the school has agreed.

These days, a barrel of oil is running about $125, roughly twice what it was a year ago. That means higher prices on airline tickets, and therefore, a greater reimbursement from my school. So bring on the high oil prices!
I love it when things work out that.
