These days are pretty busy. We've got my wife's C-section scheduled next week Tuesday, and the hospital has been clamoring to schedule all sorts of lead-up appointments in the meantime. In each of the four work days prior to her surgery, SY's got somebody she needs to talk to. It's been a little stressful making arrangements to have someone to watch P.
Once the baby is born, I have to schedule an appointment with WIC and bring the whole family in to adjust our benefits. I don't look forward to that -- a very newborn baby with a recovering mother and a two year-old running around in small waiting area while I try to keep the peace. I wonder how that will work.
Then there's our windows installation on Saturday, which we had hoped to get done some time ago, but this is the earliest we could get.
On top of that, there's my promotion tomorrow, which I'd like to have my family attend. To make things more complicated, I don't yet know what time our closing formation is, so the only thing I've been able to tell them about the time is, "I'll find out tomorrow morning ... I think."
In many ways I can't wait for the baby to be born. After the hospital discharge I'll have ten days of paternity leave to recover my wits.
Then I'll go back to work and figure out how to hand receipt out my $8 million worth of property.
