In fact, one of my earliest football memories is of the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Oakland Raiders in Superbowl XV. Sadly, my team lost 27-10, breaking my 5.5 year-old heart. Very sad.
In 2005, the Eagles played in Super Bowl XXXIX, but I wasn't paying much attention to football at the time, since I was in Korea on my second teaching contract. They lost again, so perhaps it was for the best that I didn't watch.
But today, all of that is history. The Eagles have finally won the Super Bowl, and of all the teams to win against, they beat the New England Patriots.
Very satisfying.

Getting over Superbowl XV
