Japanese movie theater

Took the family to see a movie today -- first time in over 18 months. It was a bit pricey (~$16.50 per adult, ~$9 per kid, $50 total), but in Japan the snacks are cheaper. The theater was max 50% capacity (every other seat), so the four of us had to spread out weirdly, but no big deal.

The biggest challenge was navigating the website to buy tickets in advance -- I had to invent a Japanese name to create a login. So my new name is Nobunaga Hiroaki (信長博叡).

Japan's funny like that sometimes. It's like they built their entire country around the assumption everyone's Japanese, but the signs they *don't* need to explain -- those are ones they put in English.
