Today we went up to Yokohama. My friend Keita had shown me around a few weeks prior, but it hadn't been until this week that I finally got a plan together.
We took the train up to Sakuragi-cho station (桜木町駅) and had lunch at an udon restaurant.
We then rode the cable cars toward the Yokohama World Porters mall.
There, I saw some ladies in yukata (浴衣) and asked them to take a picture with my daughter.
World Porters has a Hawaii section, which features Hawaii stores like Maui Divers and Leonard's bakery. We had to get some malasadas.
From there, we walked across the street to the Cup Noodles museum, where we explored the full history of Nissen ramen noodles.
The kids made their own customs cups of noodles, which were then packaged for safe transportation.
From there, we walked over to Yokohama's famous ferris wheel, the Cosmo Clock. This is the view from the top of the World Porters building.
It's a slow ride, but it goes pretty high. The wind wasn't bad, but I still asked for everyone not to breathe when we got close to the top.
After the Cosmo Clock, we were ready to go home. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of seating available on the train, so we had to stand for most of the way.
By the time we arrived, we were very tired.
