My first trip to France: Day trip to Lyon

Lyons is a two-hour drive from Sallanches, but it was enough of a priority that Chrystèle's family took me there. We didn't really get to *do* a whole lot, but I did get some [bad] pictures from that day.
From the right side of the back seat, for example, I have a picture of the Place des Jacobins. And just for good measure, I have a second one with a reflection. (so frustrating)
One place where we did get out of the car was the Cathédrale de Saint Jean-Baptiste. My pictures *there* are OK, but still pale in comparison to the Google Street View of Place St. Jean. Plus, being able to rotate the perspective from the façade of the cathedral to view the statues is simply amazing.

You don't realize the limitations of a point & click camera until you see what the professionals can do. Google Maps view "Driving" virtually around the block to find *exactly* the same perspective as I had 30 years ago was great fun. ("Oh, this was the way I was facing when I took that picture.")
