Downtown parking

Downtown Wiesbaden's cool, but parking is outrageous. The closest parking garage is under the market plaza, and is 3 euros/hr, or 190 per month. There is a cheaper alternative -- for 60 per month you can park overnight, but you can only park after 7pm (5pm on the weekend) and you have to be out by 9am.

For me, it works best to just leave my car parked on the military base, and only get it as we need it. Gas is still over $5/gal, and the car we have only gets ~20 mpg.

So while the views are great, they come with a price of their own.
