Sanbon station & the number 444

I live by the Sanbon subway station. Here's a picture of the sign:

I've always thought it was interesting for two reasons:

  1. If you read the hanja as Japanese characters, it's pronouced "Yamamoto." How about that.
  2. The station number is 444. That's was the extension number for the help desk (a.k.a. ME) at my last job.

Did you know the number 4 is the bad in Korea (uhmmm… death?)? I don’t’ know why when I saw that 444 in your pictures, the number 666 immediately popped up in my head. Anyway, I like the number 4 for that reason. You know, somebody’s gotta love that number! =)

Btw, I liked your odometer picture very much! It reminded me of a promise I made long ago to my sick puppy (my car!). I promised to him that I would throw a mighty big partay when he hit 200k. I just wish he could live up to that promise! =)
