Armenia trip -- Day 2a, Tashir Street

I wanted to visit the Cascade -- one of Yerevan's biggest attractions -- and the most direct path for pedestrians goes through the Tashir Street shopping district. It's a really cosmopolitan place.
All of Yerevan's nices retail stores are here, including Emporio Armani and New Yorker (among many others).
Though Armenia has neither a McDonald's nor a Starbucks, it has a KFC and a Pizza Hut. Interestingly, the KFC uses Russian as its lingua franca, though was also an option to order in English.

The Burger King, however, was closed at the moment.
I was surprised at how cosmopolitan Yerevan was. In one picture, I saw signs in four difference languages -- Armenian, Russian, English, and even Japanese. Some signs showed a sense of humor.
And then there way this sign. I didn't eat there, but it was worth having a picture.
