Armenia trip -- Day 2b, Theater

At the end of Tashir Street is the National Opera and Ballet Theatre. In the evenings, when it's cooler, it seems to be the place to a great place to go for a walk. During the day, you can rent go-carts and drive them around the plaza. It's also an important place for its public demonstrations. This speaker is advocating to "Recognize Artsakh," Azerbaijan's breakaway province of Nagorno-Karabakh. Needless to say, these kinds of things do not make the conflict between the two countries any easier. I didn't realize it at the time, but this was the place where, in 2020, thousands of Armenians protested *against* the cease-fire arrangement that ended the most recent conflict.
